A big congratulation for Aaron Tabak and Mitchell Leighton who tied for 1st place in Week 3. Both Aaron and Mitchell correctly guessed 12 out of 15 results.

There are currently 6 players tied for the overall 1st place each predicting an amazing 43.75% of results correctly. Remember to get all your Winadu brothers to join; this is a marathon not a sprint so there is still plenty of time to catch the leaders.

Ricky - I shared several summers as bunk mates and camp group mates with you, Larry Schwartz and Donald Kastenbaum and Elliot Nadelson. I went on to finish my camper career as a Senior Prep, and then 4 summers as a junior counselour, bunk counselour and group dean of the Junior A"s (in Sime Hall). I also had the pleasure of being named General of the White Team in Color War that year (1972). My team capitan was Mike Lubell. My opposing General was Johnny Austern....and we did win Color War that summer. - if anyone is around to jog my memory further... give me a hit on the Windau blog site or my email address - Best wishes and take care Glenn Burten (camp summers 1957 to 1972)

I was my 1st year at camp in 1957. I was in bunk 2, a freshman and 6 years old. The freshmam camp had their own time schedule and color war. I remember standing on the freshman side of the white birch tree path (during our rest hour) and watched Willy Mays hitting balls onto the junior basketball court in center field and the 3rd tennis courts in left with relative ease. I did spend another 15 summers as a camper and 4 summers as a counselour at Winadu until 1972. Had a older brother named Richard Burten, at camp with me, he was in Sime Hall (Junior A), at the same time. I remember watching some of the camp's "superstars" - Mickkey Jacobs pitching on the senior diamond, Howie Schoenholtz diving off the high board, and counselours jumping over tennis court nets to flag down softballs on the junior campus. Take care to everyone - anyone around in 1957 to 1972 will probably have the same memories. - hit me with some more info on this site or my email address: Glenn Burten - camper 1957 to 1968, counselour from 1969 to 1972 (that year Group Dean of the Junior A's in Sime Hall)

The pitcher was Mike Workman, the head of the baseball program. He played AAA ball for the Montreal Royals of the International League, then a Brooklyn Dodger farm team.
